Trail users Martha and Gene Ruth take their dog Brindle for regular walks on the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail with them. Perhaps one of the most stylish pups around town, Brindle can often be found sporting a T-shirt on the Trail after it has rained. The long T-shirt protects her fur coat from the wet, muddy pathways and keeps her underside from getting gritty and dirty. Brindle’s owners came to The Trail Foundation’s recent pop-up T-shirt sale benefiting Hurricane Harvey relief efforts and purchased a youth-sized shirt for their four-legged companion. They made a few slight alterations to the T-shirt so it would fit snuggly on Brindle during their brisk walks, and now she’s the envy of all the other tails on the Trail. Brindle enjoys the extra attention she gets from everyone when she wears her TTF shirt, and Martha and Gene Ruth have captured some pawsitively adorable photos of her in it.
